Terms & Conditions


1. General


1.1 In these conditions:

1.1.1 “Contract” means the contract, comprising these conditions, for supply of Goods;

1.1.2 “Consumer” means any customer who is purchasing outside the course of his or her business or trade;

1.1.3 “Order” means the order through the relevant page on the Website by you for the Goods accepted by us in our Order Confirmation;

1.1.4 “Order Confirmation” means our email to you confirming the Order;

1.1.5 “you” / “your” mean the Consumer submitting an order for Goods;

1.1.6 “Goods” means the blinds, window furnishings or other products to be supplied by us as noted in the Order;

1.1.7 “we”/”us”/”our” mean MM Trade trading as bestblinds.ie, a company registered in Ireland with number 588149, registered office, 49 Castlepark Square, Dunboyne Rd, Maynooth , Ireland.

1.1.8 “Website” means www.bestblinds.ie.

1.2 These conditions:

1.2.1 will apply to all your purchases of Goods from us through the Website are directed primarily for customers in the Republic of Ireland responsible for compliance with local laws, to the extent that local laws are applicable.

1.2.2 may only be changed in a document signed by one of our directors; and

1.2.3 form the entire understanding between you and us and supersede any prior promises, representations (unless fraudulent) or undertakings.


2. Price and payment


2.1 The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order. Any price displayed on this website shall be subject to change at any time.All prices are shown in Euros (€) and are exclusive of the cost of delivery, which cost will be noted on the Order section of the Website and will be charged to you accordingly.


2.2 Payment of the purchase price for the Goods is due before any delivery by us of the Goods.


2.3 Whilst we try to ensure that all prices on this website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact, you we will treat your order as cancelled.


 2.4 Title to any goods shall pass to you on delivery of the goods provided that we have processed and received payment in full for the goods.


3. Cancellation of contract by you

Where the goods are "made to measure" you shall have no right to amend or cancel your order, return the goods or seek any refund of the price paid by you from us. This is because when we receive your order, the manufacturing process begins immediately, and the goods are manufactured to your exact specification, pursuant to The Consumer Contracts (information, cancellation and additional charges) Regulations 2013. This does not affect your statutory rights.


4. Cancellation by Us


"We reserve the right to terminate the contract between us if:

Unable to supply the goods due to stock shortages and there is no acceptable substitute product.

Pricing errors on our website due to either incorrect data or human error.

None of our approved carriers are able to deliver to your area.

Non-approval by debit or credit card Company of your payment.


5. Your Order for the Goods


5.1 The steps required to create a contract of sale between you and us are as follows:

on this website, you will be guided through the process of placing your order by a series of simple instructions;

you will place your order by pressing the order confirmation buttons during the check out process;

because our goods are custom made to your specifications, we take payment from you at the time you place your order, using secure PayPal Quick Checkout service where payments can be made with credit or debit cards. Please note that this payment is not an acceptance by us of your order or evidence of any contract;

Your order is always subject to our acceptance;

Where delivery of the goods is made acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will only take place when we issue your order acceptance email detailing the goods and the price and a reference to these terms and conditions;

Where delivery of the goods is made to the Republic of Ireland, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and us will only take place when we have agreed with you and processed any additional delivery charges.

COVID-19: In the present time of unexpected changes related to a pandemic and due to the entirely made-to-measure nature of the goods and services ordered and the wide ranging factors that can affect progress, no timescales can be guaranteed and therefore, there is no right to cancellation or consequential loss due to delays or disruption. We hope everyone understands that it is hard to work a limited number of employees while maintaining social distance.


5.2 We regret that we cannot accept Orders for Goods to be delivered to addresses outside of the Ireland and Northern Ireland. We may terminate any Contract without liability to you where the delivery address is outside the Ireland or Northern Ireland.


5.3 In placing your Order, you confirm that you have read the advice provided on the website as to Child Safety. You confirm that you understand the child safety options for the various blind types available and that you have chosen one which is appropriate for the window you intend to cover. The guidance is clear that certain blind types require a minimum fitting height and if you order such a blind you confirm that your window conforms with these requirements. We will send full fitting and operating instructions with your Order to ensure its compliance with child safety regulations and you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to fit in accordance with these instructions.


5.4 As the Goods which you order are manufactured according to the measurements you provide in your Order it is very important that your measurements are accurate. We cannot accept the return of the Goods by reason of the measurements provided being incorrect. You are advised to read the How to Measure and How to Fit pages of our website or request a call back by filling the “Request a Call Back” form or use email contact@bestblinds.ie if you would like guidance on how to take the required measurements accurately. For micro cassette roller blind please email us pictures of your windows to contact@bestblinds.ie should you have any questions regarding measurements or any doubts if micro cassette roller blinds will fit your windows. We strongly recommend that you order a sample of the fabric you choose and that you double check your measurements are in line with our measuring instructions before placing your order.

5.4.1 If you realise that you have made an error when placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. It may be possible to cancel your order and for a full refund to be made as long as the products are not in the process of been made. Once manufacture has started the production we will not allow any cancellation or changes to the order. We strongly recommend that you also check the order details on the email confirmation are correct.

5.4.2 For Roller blinds, we have to allow for fittings at either end of the blind, as there is no headrail. This means the actual fabric of a Roller blind is approximately 3.2cm less for an exact measurement and 3.7cm less for a recess measurement. We will make this adjustment based on the measurements you provide when placing your order. We strongly recommend that you double check the fabric width will cover the glazed area of your window before you place your order


6. GUARANTEE


6.1 All of our goods are guaranteed against defects in manufacture from delivery for a period of 3 years in the case of all “made to measure” blinds.


6.2 Should any defect arise during any warranty period, we shall at our expense, repair or replace the defective goods (or any part of them) on a like for like basis, provided that the defect has not arisen as a result of: fair wear and tear, misuse or abuse, non-domestic or business use, or:

• Accidental damage

• Any alterations

• Exposure to the elements

• Misuse

• Failure to follow measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance instructions

• Fitted in a non-domestic environment

• Everyday wear and tear

• Fabrics and dyes

• Normal fading

• Manufacturing defect not reported within 28 days of delivery

Also, if the goods being installed except as otherwise in accordance with accompanying written instructions or good industry practice.



6.3. Damage during installation due to negligence

BestBlinds.ie does not accept liability for any damage caused to window recesses during installation due to excessive force been used to tighten clamps or due to substandard window recess in buildings.  

BestBlinds.ie cannot accept any responsibility for problems arising out of a failure to follow the installation and operating instructions.

These provisions (terms, conditions, disclaimers and exclusions) shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. If any of these provisions are deemed or found to be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then the provision or provisions so found shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions


7. Specifications of Goods


7.1 Whilst every attempt will be made by us to ensure that the Goods supplied match in every respect any samples shown, or description given to you, any minor or immaterial variation between sample or description and the Goods delivered shall not entitle you to reject the Goods, nor to withhold or reduce payment of the purchase price, nor claim any compensation for such variation or change.


7.2 Please note that none of our blinds (including blackout blinds), provide total blackout, as there will always be ingress of light into the room around the sides, top and bottom of the blinds. Blackout Blinds including skylight blackout blinds, will block out most of the light and will also provide great privacy, but will not provide total darkness in your bedrooms. While they don’t block all the light, Blackout Roller Blinds, Blackout Roman Blinds and Blackout Skylight Blinds will help the kids (and yourself) to sleep later, on bright summer mornings


7.3 All sizes and measurements stated by us in relation to the goods are approximate only. We are unable to guarantee that the materials in the goods delivered to you: accurately reflect the colours displayed on this website, due to variations in light and colour between different computer monitors; will be the same from one item to another in the case of matching sets, due to slight variations in dye lots. If an accurate colour matching is required, we recommend that you order a sample from us before placing your order.


8. Faulty Goods

If for some rare reason the goods are faulty or damaged in transit please contact us immediately by e-mail: contact@bestblinds.ie detailing the defects, we cannot be held liable to you unless we are notified within 3 working days of the delivery of the goods in question. If the goods are defective and with our agreement we will arrange collection of the goods from you and will either where applicable:

Repair the goods and return to you Free of charge or replace goods.

Arrange a full refund provided the goods have not been modified or damaged due to negligence.

If it is discovered that the goods are not defective or have been modified in any way your right to a refund will be voided and call in charge of 75€ will be applied.


9. Delivery / Delay or Failure to perform.

9.1 The standard delivery fees are €20 and your blinds will arrive within 7 to 14 working days (Monday to Friday).


9.2 We will deliver the Goods to the place noted in the Order.


9.3 We shall not be liable to you if we are prevented or delayed in the performing of any obligations to you if this is due to any cause beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation: an act of God, explosion, flood, fire or accident; war or civil disturbance; strike, industrial action or stoppages of work; any form of government intervention; a third party act or omission; failure by you to give us a correct delivery address or notify us of any change of address


We use DPD or Fastway couriers who continuously strive to deliver our blinds quickly and in perfect condition, but mishaps can occur. When you receive your blind, please check that it has not been damaged in transit. If damage has occurred in transit, please do not accept the package. If very slight damage has occurred to the packaging, please add after your signature: “some damage noted”. Blinds signed for as being in good condition by the customer cannot later be accepted back by BestBlinds.ie as returns due to damage. Please note that BestBlinds.ie cannot accept any responsibility for claims for damage except when notified to us by e-mail within 24 hours of receipt of blinds.


10. Limitation of liability


10.1 We will not be liable to you by way of representation (unless fraudulent), common law duty or under any express or implied term of the contract for:

10.1.1 any losses which are not foreseeable by both parties when the Contract is formed arising in connection with the supply of Goods or their use by you;

10.1.2 any losses which are not caused by any breach by us;

10.1.3 business or trade losses (including, without limitation, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, loss of business and loss of reputation); or

10.1.4 any failure by you to give us correct measurements for the Goods.


10.2 Subject to condition 7.3, our entire liability in connection with the Contract will not exceed the purchase price of the Goods in question.


10.3 Nothing in this Contract excludes or limits our liability for:

10.3.1 death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or that of our employees or sub-contractors;

10.3.2 liability for damage to property or injury to persons under the Consumer Protection Act 1987;

10.3.3 fraud; or

10.3.4 any other matter that we cannot by law exclude or restrict.


11. Webside: CONDUCT

You agree to abide by all applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations and are solely responsible for all acts or omissions that occur under your usage, including the content of your transmissions through the website. All information, designs, drawings and other specifications provided on the website are the exclusive property of MM Trade, owner of bestblinds.ie. Any copying, transmission or re-transmission of the same requires the prior written approval of MM Trade (owner of www.bestblinds.ie)
