How to measure your windows!
Please Give Exact Measurements - We Take No Responsibility For Errors In Ordering.
Read the easy to follow instructions below. All you need is a steel tape measure, no cloth
tape. Accurate sizes are essential when placing an order.
Place the order and we will send the blinds to fit your window perfectly.
Outside the windows recess (Exact) Width = A + 8cm (4cm for each side) Drop = B
Outside Window Recess (Exact) Decide how much you wish to overlap the recess at each side (suggested overlap is 4cm each side) and at the top and bottom. Ideally, when raised, the blind should not obscure the window.
When measuring for roller blinds and day night blinds. Please note that the cloth width will be 4 cm narrower than the overall size. Further to this if you are side fixing it is important to always state this as an exact measurement. |
Inside the windows recess Width = A
Drop = B Inside Window Recess: - Measure the width ( A ) on the left, the middle and the right inside the window recess from wall to wall. Measure the width of your recess in 3 places (top, middle and bottom) and give us the smallest measurement. - Measure the Drop ( B ) in 3 different positions inside the recess from the top of the recess to the window sill. Measure the drop of your recess in 3 places and give us the smallest measurement. - We will send your blinds minus the correct allowance for the blinds to fit. Please note that the width of the fabric on a roller blind is 4cm narrower than the overall width of the blind. This is because the mechanism is wider than the fabric.. |
Outside the windows recess (Exact) on the ceiling (only if you wish to have mechanism installed to the ceiling) Width = A + 8cm (4cm for each side) Measure the height (drop) from the ceiling Drop = B

Our blinds comply with the BBSA’s strict guidelines regarding child safety and are tested to meet the regulations outlined in the European safety standard EN 13120:2009 + A1:2014 . All the chains and cords provided with our products will be made at a maximum length of one meter. You will receive a safety device with your blind to enable you to keep the cord or chain controls safely away from children. You must install the safety device at a minimum height of 150cm (approx 60 inches) from the floor, to comply with European child-safety regulations.
Furthermore, if a child or vulnerable person is likely to be using the room where the blind is installed, you MUST fit the safety device we provide in order to tie up the pull cord safely out of the way of children, vulnerable persons and pets.
Even when the safety device is fitted, we recommend that you move beds, cots and furniture away from any window.
